Easy Errol Grey Ice Cream: no eggs, no cooking, any ice cream maker

You too can make simple, no-egg Errol Grey ice cream using this uncomplicated recipe with any ice cream maker, and our fragrant Organic Errol Grey loose leaf tea. You won't be disappointed with the end result, which is rich, creamy, refreshing and delicious. It has a unique subtle tea flavor that is just perfect year-round.

Easy Errol Grey Ice Cream

Ingredients:
2 cups heavy whipping cream
1 cup whole milk
¾ cup sugar
1 tablespoon Errol Grey loose leaf tea
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of salt

Directions:
1. Make Errol Grey milk: Warm the whole milk in a microwave or in a small saucepan until hot, but not boiling. Add the tea leaves and let steep for 10–15 minutes. Pour tea leaves and milk through a strainer.
2. Mix: Stir the sugar into the warm Errol Grey milk until completely dissolved. Add the heavy cream, vanilla, and salt.
3. Chill: Refrigerate the mixture about 2 hours, until completely cold.
4. Churn: Pour cold mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions, usually 20–30 minutes.
5. Freeze: Transfer to a freezer safe container and freeze for 2–4 hours for a firmer texture.

Optional additions: teaspoon of vanilla beans, orange zest, any syrup such as bergamot, rose or lemon, a mild nut such as walnuts...or just use your imagination. Enjoy!
